About the grandparents

Eva’s parents, - Simon’s Grandparents - are around sixty years old, both retired and living in a charming country house by the sea. Arthur is an excellent storyteller and he loves to make up fantastical tales for his grandchildren. Irène is joyful and energetic and likes spending time outside, doing gardening and tending to her vegetable patch.
During the holidays, Arthur, Irène, Gaspard and Simon have so much fun together.

What do you enjoy doing the most?

We love tending to our vegetable garden. We also both love motorbiking: we take our bike out regularly. And when Simon and Gaspard come to see us, we add the side-car: they love it!

What are your favourite activities
with Simon and Gaspard?

When our two grandsons come to our house during the holidays, we love to take them to the beach nearby. We make sandcastles, fly kites, have picnics, play with Elvis and watch the sun go down. They’re always wonderful moments of fun and relaxation.

Our grandchildren

Simon and Gaspard are such sweet kids! We’re never bored with them around! When they come to our house, we always find really fun things to do, such as cooking, going for walks, reading stories or going to the farm. They don’t always listen to us but we never get upset with them: they’re way too cute! They also have lots of fun with Elvis: the poor dog gets so excited when they’re around! 

What’s your favourite dessert?

Arthur: “I can’t resist chocolate cake!”
Irène: “Good old-fashioned yoghurt cake. It’s easy to make and it’s always delicious. Especially if you add sliced apples or pears!”

What’s your favourite time of the day?

Early evening, when we’re all together during the summer holiday: while the kids get into their pyjamas after their bath, we make dinner while their parents enjoy a well-earned rest!

Simon’s Parents

Simon’s dad works from home. He’s kind, attentive and funny. He’s a bit of a dreamer but is passionate about everything he does. Simon’s mom is thoroughly modern. She goes out to work every day but never gets home very late. She’s gentle and affectionate and has heaps of energy.
